Wauchope Men’s Veteran Golfers
Tuesday 2nd June is Best 2 of 4 Stableford Multiplier, what
does that mean, in your group multiply the 2 best scores. Should your group be
a three the same applies as we are not in a position to run a separate
competition. The sponsor is Lotus at Lighthouse Chinese Restaurant at Lighthouse
Beach. The winning team will receive a $50 voucher each to be spent at Lotus at
Lighthouse.
More important, the day is dedicated to the memory of our
past Captain Neil Grant. It is 12 months on Monday (1/6) since Neil
passed away, he was so dedicated to this Club and the members, he worked
tirelessly to ensure everything was correct and right. I would like to sound
the siren at 11:00am on Tuesday for a 1 minute pause in play to reflect on the
man “Neil Grant and his achievements for the Wauchope Vets”.
Looking at the Time sheet for Tuesday there are 8 spots
available, the spots are all where there are three players, it would be great
if we could fill those spaces.
Membership Cards for 2015-2016 will be issued after members
have renewed membership with the Wauchope Country Club. The new cards will be
available from Tuesday 16th June. If you have Vets credit or an OBE (over
bloody eighty), it will cost you nothing, everybody else it will cost $5 for
the year. New Members, it costs $10, $5 joining fee, $5 yearly membership.
The changed ball rundown in grades started last week, would
you believe the A Grade balls went to 32 points c/b, B Grade to 33 points c/b
and C Grade to 28 points c/b. I really think this is a fairer method of
distributing balls for our Veterans Club. Tuesday, because it is a team event
the ball rundown is across the field.
Wauchope Vets visit Wingham on Wednesday 10th June, it is a
bus trip or you can travel by car, we could fit one more in. Also we visit
Harrington on Friday 26th June. Sheets are available on the front table on
Tuesday or email back to me.
Another reminder, Tuesday 30th is the 4BBB Championship, get
your partner arranged and when you book in make sure you and your partner are
in spot 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 for this event on the 16th June
