Wauchope Men's Vets weekly update 19.04

Wauchope Men’s Veteran Golfers

Next Tuesday 21st April the event is a Single Stableford, the sponsor is Warren Plowright Toyota who has given us 3 x $60 Vouchers, one each to the winners of the three grades.  Looking at the time sheet, shows there are  4  spots available, get in early if you are looking for a game. The weather forecast isn’t good for Tuesday at this stage, I will send out an email  message on Tuesday morning prior to 7:00am informing you of the conditions

The Wauchope Country Club has a new Website, which looks really good, up to date and fresh. You are advised to take the old link to the website off you “favourites” or “book marks” completely, before going into the new website. The reason for that is you may not be able to access “Results” or “Booking in”. Once you have opened the new site, it is suggested you make “Book In” a favourite and “Results” another favourite so you can go straight to them. But do look at the other information on the site, the Men’s Vets have their own section as has all the other sub groups. I know that is all gobbilty gook to a lot of people, but try it!

The Bill Medley Shield game , hosted by Wauchope on Friday 17th April. Wauchope held  on to, but had to share 2nd place with Port Macquarie. Wauchope players did really well but couldn’t quite get to Frederickton, who are still leading the pack. Thank you Dennis Hughes and his selected team, Wauchope are still well  and truly in the mix. Team scores are, Frederickton scored 221 points to lead with 693 points, Wauchope scored 237 points, total 688 to tie with Port Macquarie who scored 242 for 688 points, Kew scored 228 points, for 676 points, South West Rocks scored 217 for 656 points, Kempsey 235 points for 609 points, Crescent Head scored 147 points for 553 points.

Individual Competition Results are attached. Thank you for a great day, every one of the 131 players enjoyed the day. The next Bill Medley Shield Game is at Kempsey on Friday 24th July.

Wauchope Men’s Vets sponsor the Pro Am coming up on the weekend of Sat. Sun  2nd and 3rd May, for that we are granted  3 spots  in a team to play with a Pro. We have been given the Sunday afternoon Tee Off so there are spots for 3 Vets members. We are going to draw players out of a hat who have shown interest in playing on that afternoon. If you are interested you can email me back, or there will be a sheet available on the front table on Tuesday. We will draw the names on Tuesday 28th April.
