Wauchope Men's Vets weekly update 16.08

Wauchope Men’s Veteran Golfers

Next Tuesday 18th August is a Singles Vs Par event sponsored by Hastings Mower Service. They have been a loyal sponsor for years, thank you. Looking at the booking in sheet, there are about 9 spaces available to book in, if you are not already booked, now is the time!

Talking of booking in, there will not be a vets competition to book into on Tuesday 1st September the Men’s Golf, Thursday competition is on that day, this is because of the Week of Golf on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September. The Tuesday 1st Sept. booking will not open until 6:00am on Thursday 20th August. I hope that is clear, if you get up early to book a fortnight ahead you can sleep in next Tuesday. Set the Alarm we need you at golf a little later!!!!!

If you would like to play in the Week of Golf, please see John Uncle on Tuesday or email me and I will forward the request to John. There are still spots available, play 2 days and be in the daily events plus 36 hole overall event or play one day in the daily event. It is 2 shotgun starts each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and a presentation dinner on Friday night.

The AGM is on 8th September the event is a 2 man Ambrose, shotgun start with BBQ after. The nomination sheet for Office bearers for Wauchope Men’s Veterans Golf Club is on the Vets 2nd Board in the hall between the bar and bistro. Nominations close on Tuesday 1st September. Please give some thought about joining the Committee, we need help, some existing committee members have indicated they may not renominate. To post a nomination you need a Candidate, Proposer, Seconder and Consent of the Candidate to filled out on the sheet.

Monday 24th August is the 1st leg of this year’s Wal Sneddon Shield at Kew Golf Club. This competition is held between Kew and Wauchope and is based on the top 20 scores from each Club. Monday 24th August is a 8:30am Shot gun start,  $14 includes a Sausage sandwich, (good value). I have 25 starters so far, Kew said they have room for more players so if you would like to play let me know by email or Dennis on Tuesday. I have attached the Tee allocations sheet for those already nominated.

One to place on your calendar is Friday 25th September we are taking a bus down to Taree for a visit, the course is very good and the Club facilities great. We will have more info very soon on this trip.
