WAUCHOPE VETERANS & VISITORS TOURNAMENT Thursday/Friday August 29/30 2013 163 golfers from 55 clubs covering the whole East Coast, Qld, Vic, Tas and NSW (of course) and even one from across the ditch, enjoyed two days of golf in beautiful weather on the Wauchope Golf Course in excellent condition at the end of August. Others came in to play one day only and a total of 185 golfers ended up participating. 120 golfers and friends attended the presentation dinner on Friday evening where over $3,000 worth of vouchers, sponsored by Wauchope Professional, Clarke Joyce, were presented to winning golfers. Apart from the weather, the course condition, the fabulous food at the presentation dinner, the friendly volunteers who did everything except hit the balls ... (nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them) ... one of the highlights was a Friday Hole in One by Moruya's Peter McGarry on the short 4th. Visitors enjoyed it so much, many are looking forward to returning in the first week of September next year!
