Wauchope Veteran Golfers
There are quite a few things to talk about.
Firstly, next Tuesday’s 01.07.14 event is a Single Stableford sponsored by
Fredo’s Meats. The first game of the new financial year (for those fiscally
orientated), or to others, half the year has gone.
Looking at the booking sheet, there are eight spots
available, if you are looking for a
game.
Sponsors are a very important part of our organisation, I
would like to think of them as partners, they help us, hoping we will help
them, ie. do business with their business. Please when contemplating a
purchase, all I would ask is you give our sponsors a thought, “Can I buy this
item from them?”
Talking about
sponsors, we are seeking new sponsors, some of our sponsors have pulled out, after years of contributing and
we thank them and appreciate the support they have given us. If you know of a
business who may like to sponsor one or more events, please talk to us. From a
retail business point of view, if they donated vouchers, this would bring new
customers to their business and the voucher holder may spend a lot more than
the voucher value. Talk to Graeme Heggarty, Peter Abell or myself if you know
of a potential sponsor.
We need to talk about the moving of our Tuesday event to
Kempsey on the 5th August, because Wauchope is not available to us on that day.
Negotiations with Kempsey club, Green
Fees are to be the same as we usually pay at home $16, a manual timesheet will be available from
this Tuesday, it will have one tee hit-off times from 8:00am to 9:24am. Golf
carts are in short supply, so if you
need one, you will need to take your own, which you will not have to pay to go
on the course. I would appreciate if players who take carts, fill the seat
beside them on this occasion. More info on the day as it gets closer.
We pride ourselves on having a presentation each week, where
players stay back or some come back if they are in the winning circuit. We
reward players for their attendance by having the Beer Draw, you have a chance
of winning one of eight six packs of
beer. But we would really like you to
stay back for the presentation, not to listen to me, but to uphold tradition and show your
support for the success of the winners
of the day and maybe win a six pack of beer.
There are three sheets on the board for our visits at the back end of July. First is to Harrington for the Harri-Hope
